My image "magic lanterns" has won first place among 23 entries in a recent photographic challenge in the "Light up my Life" group that I am a member of. 

A quick update on a few things happening in the galleria.

My image "on yer bike" won a rebubble challenge in the Nikon D80 User group called "two wheels"

Plus some new work.

Cleansed.....was taken during my trip to Beijing in 2008.  This is inside the Forbidden city.

The note.... was taken aboard a train in Beijing.

My image "afternoon delight" has come in third in the American Artists & Writers Inc, January competition titled "the great escape"

A couple of redbubble challenge wins to start the new year off on the right note.  My image "the summit" won the "simple by design" challenge, "outdoors"

Also voted to a win was "the shallows of heaven" which won the "mornington peninsula and port phillip bay" challenge, "sunset...sunrise, beach scene" 

I hope it's the start of more exciting things to come.

"a word from above" has won the "best skyscape image 2009" in a "redbubble" online photo and art community photo challenge.  It was voted for by members of the "skyscapes" group and was amongst some superb entries.

I remember when I first saw it out the window, I did a double take as I couldn't believe what I was seeing.  Usually in these situations, by the time it takes to get your camera and put the right lens on it's gone, but this just kept hanging around, begging to be taken.

This is the over all view of what I was seeing.

My image "the green walk" won a redbubble challenge in the "just lines" group about "green lines"

My image "ethereal" won a redbubble competiton in the "first things" group challenge, "heaven and earth"

My image "smokin man" came second in "first things" group Challenge, "warhol effect"

"get on your boots" was placed in the top ten of "first things" group challenge, "all about shoes"

And "dream" placed in the top ten in "melbourne victoria" group challenge, "win a free market stall"

Four of my images were recently voted winners in photo challenges run by "redbubble"

a word from above won the Nikon D80 group challenge called the view from my window 

afternoon delight was voted number 1 in the Nikon D80 group challenge called silhouette morning and evenings

My image taxi was voted in first place in the arthouse productions international group challenge called aerial perspectives

Also a recent winner was my image japanese garden which won the statues and such group challenge called tiny toys
